Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: January 16, 2026
Our Commitment
Portfolio Pro is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
We believe that education should be accessible to all individuals, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. This commitment extends to all aspects of our platform, including our website, learning materials, code editors, and interactive exercises.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Portfolio Pro is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
"Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to achieve full conformance.
Accessibility Features
Portfolio Pro includes the following accessibility features:
- ✓
Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Space, Arrow keys)
- ✓
Screen Reader Support: Semantic HTML and ARIA labels for screen reader compatibility (tested with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- ✓
Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- ✓
Responsive Design: Mobile-friendly interface that adapts to different screen sizes and orientations
- ✓
Text Resizing: Content remains readable when text size is increased up to 200%
- ✓

- ✓
Dark Mode: System-preference-aware dark mode to reduce eye strain

Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some accessibility challenges remain. We are actively working to address these:
- ⚠
Code Editor: The Monaco code editor may have limited screen reader support for complex code structures. We provide alternative text-based editors for users who need them.
- ⚠
Third-Party Embeds: Some embedded content (videos, external tools) may not be fully accessible. We strive to provide accessible alternatives.
- ⚠
Dynamic Content: Some dynamically loaded content may not always announce properly to screen readers. We are implementing ARIA live regions to address this.
- ⚠
Complex Visualizations: Interactive charts and diagrams may have limited accessibility. We provide text descriptions and data tables as alternatives.
